Solid Modelling Solid modelling is a graphical mapping technique for virtual objects, which don't just look solid, but are solid. Solid modelling systems ensure that all surfaces meet properly and that the object is geometrically correct. Collision detection on the interiors of such objects as well as the skins is routine, and the full innards of the object are fully replicated.
